OddsFiche Gives His Guitar a Gerd Arntz Makeover

Hey All ! So while I am working on some new reviews for you to read and take in some new sounds I decided to get created with my guitar that has no fretboard that I play some of my music with and gave it a makeover that I’m pretty proud of I have to say. Just got to restring it tomorrow and we’re all set to go and get back to recording and playing live with it! Coming soon we have some new bands and some oldies form the past to read about but some eye candy till then. The figures on the body and neck are what is called “Isotype”(or picture language) originally conceived by Otto and Marie Neurath in Austria and Gerd Arntz who also did this to which a museum honouring him in the Hague, Netherlands is dedicated to his work with over 4,000 pieces on display. I love the simplicity of these pieces I got 4 of them tattooed on me! So with very careful scissors work I cut the pictures out and glued them on to the guitar and then drew the stencil out for the pickguard and painted it with Testor’s oil based model paint. I only build model airplanes in the winter when it’s really bad out and you stay inside!  lol. Not bad for a first outing considering I have never painted anything this big and with a stencil i drew out in pencil before so I’m chuffed with the results. Enjoy
